Straight answers before you buy.
Do I need to be a developer?
Not to get it running. The installer guides you step by step in your browser. You'll need web hosting, a domain, a Stripe account and an email sending service. A live marketplace also needs Redis, a scheduled task and background workers that keep running. Most shared hosting plans don't offer these, so plan on a VPS. The included guide explains how to set them up.
Can I run a real business with it?
Yes. Your licence lets you run ServeSync as a live, commercial marketplace and charge your customers and providers. It doesn't let you resell or redistribute the software itself.
What support and updates are included?
Support runs for the support period shown on your AppTrovo purchase, and you can reach us through that purchase. Updates are available from your AppTrovo dashboard. Custom features aren't included.
Which payment methods does it support?
Payments and provider payouts run through Stripe, including card payments with 3-D Secure. Stripe is the only payment gateway included. Check that Stripe and its payout service are available in your country before you commit.
Can it send SMS or WhatsApp messages?
No. Notifications are sent in the app, by email and, if you turn it on, by browser push.
Are there iPhone and Android apps?
Native apps aren't included. ServeSync works in any phone browser and can be added to the home screen like an app. A developer can also use the included API to build native apps.
How does live tracking work?
While on the way, a provider shares their location from their phone's browser. The customer's map updates about every 15 seconds, and the arrival time is an estimate.
Is every provider background-checked?
That's your choice. You can review providers manually, or connect Stripe Identity and Checkr with your own accounts, and then decide whether checks are required before a provider can take bookings.
